Title: Charity Team Stats
Post by: XSmeagolX on 02 January 2012 à 11:37:18
Bonjour!!

Je ne parle pas francais tres bien.... so i will write in english, what isn't really better, but easier for me... :D

I know, this is a charity-event, and there should no really comparison to other teams or users....
So, what did i do....

I create Team-Stats for this Charity Team, where everyone can see the output of the Charity Team and the projects, that this Team has supported in the last years and supports this year...
Those stats will updated every hour and will be present from today until the end of the event (and some days more).

I do not have so much webspace and db-space and there are a lot of other cronjobs running on my webserver...
So maybe, sometimes those stats will not updated. This depends on my provider and i am sorry about this issue...

But, nevertheless...
They are running right now!

http://boinc.timo-schneider.de/charity

Some total- and daylie-charts are updated only at midnight (once a day) and they need 2 days to get showing the chart....

I hope, you like it!

Enjoy the event!!

Now the mouseover in the Total-Stats at the startpage will show the right date.... :D
From tomorrow on, you will see the chart-line... Right now, there will a point available by mouseover in the middle of the chart.... :D

A small tippo on the first page : "Daily output"

But why do you count other projects than RNA ?

Thanks anyway, it's great :D

The other projects are the projects of the charity-events in the last years. Some "users" are already crunching for the "Charity Team" on those projects!
So I count all the projects, the Charity Team is available and fetch the credits.
By clicking on the Detail-Icon, you can see the Detail-Stats of the projects!

I created a new Stats-Comparison Site....

There you can see, which team will be overtaken by CHARITY TEAM in future...
It will be updated every hour....

I put all the teams in front of US to Pos. 26 in the database for now...
Will have a look on it, to insert more teams.... :D

UPDATE: The text is in english language now.. :D

Could you just explain a bit how to read it ? Like, does it show when the overtake will take place ? and how to read the -1h, -2h... columns ?

I am not XSmeagolX, but my guess is, the columns -1h, -2h and so on show the difference one, two and so on hours ago, do you not think?
Title: Re : Charity Team Stats
Post by: JeromeC on 15 January 2012 à 18:59:00
But I see many 0 in those columns, but not with all teams, it's a bit strange... ?
Title: Re : Charity Team Stats
Post by: XSmeagolX on 16 January 2012 à 07:37:02
Ok.. I try to explain...

The Table:
This shows the teams I put in the database.
All columns can be sortet by clicking the header... :D

Columns:
Team: Teamname
Credits: the actual total credits of the team (updated every hour)
Diff: The difference of total credits of the team in relation to the Charity Team
-1h: The credits earned by the team in the last hour
-2h: The credits earned by the team in the last 2 hours
-6h: The credits earned by the team in the last 6 hours
-12h: The credits earned by the team in the last 12 hours
today: The credits earned by the team today (from midnight)
yesterday: The credits earned by the team yesterday (midnight to midnight)

After each column, there are red/green arrows... the number AFTER the arrows shows, how many days it will take for the Charity Team to overtake the team.
"-" means, no overtake will be possible, because the output of the other team is higher...

So all is in relation to the Charity Team!

-1h <> In relation to the output of the last hour, it will take XXX days to overtake
-2h <> In relation to the output of the last 2 hours, it will take XXX days to overtake
-6h <> In relation to the output of the last 6 hours, it will take XXX days to overtake
.
.
.
and so on....

As you see, there are many teams with NO Output at RNAworld... So the "0" means, NO credits for that team.

I just startet the stats yesterday, so it will take until midnight today, that all the numbers for overtake will become more accurate!

The first chart shows the actual difference to other teams. The Charity Team will always be in the first in this chart. Because there is a difference of "0", there is just a "shadow" seen.
All the charts work with a mouseover effect... So you see details by mouseover the different charts!!!

The second chart (Daylie-Credit Comparison will start in about 2 days.... Because there was NO data in the database yesterday, There was no comparison... So it takes 2 days for this chart to work!!

The third chart (Total-Credit Comparison) shows the total credits of the teams!! Because there is just ONE entry of the teams in the database, there is a POINT when using a mouseover in the middle of the chart. After midnight, you will see the lines, when there are TWO entries in the database for the teams!!

Hope this explanation helps!

I put more teams in the stats...

From now on (16.01.2012, 08:00h)

Nordlichter, BOINC.Italy, Sicituradastra and CANAL@Boinc

are included in the stats...
Title: Re : Charity Team Stats
Post by: XSmeagolX on 16 January 2012 à 10:35:49
I wrote a script, where i can automatically add all the teams in front of us to the comparison stats....
BUT....

Therefore I have to cleanup all the comparison-stats and start from the beginning with no data...
(NOT THE CHARITY TEAM STATS.... JUST THE COMPARISON STATS)

And I do not have the time to manually add all the teams...

My question:
Should I do this or not??

Hum hum! I think we're a "little" off topic here :siflotte:

So let's get back to the stats :D
As RealSanta stated on the SG-forum:
Quote
*weniger als 80k bis zu Platz #10 fürs Charity-Team!*

Less than 80k until place #10 for the Charity Team!

So GO GO GO !!!
Or are you all crunching the super-long XXL WUs?? :heink:

I have no idea what the Base Campers and/or Visiting EVGAs do ....
- not to mention "anonymous" - I had a tip about whom he was not  :D
- very helpful. That kind of narrows it down by ONE  :siflotte:
I hate to be out of control this way  :cpopossib: - je crois  :sun:
- and I'm sorry to be Off Topic  - glaube ich  :sun:
- but what is the topic?

Do you know Facebook Philosopy?
I'm hooked on it; totally sold
- most are so good and uplifting, but they can be downright nasty such as:
"You have the right to remain silent; what you lack is the ability"

- mayhaps, I never tried  ... and those who were silent did not say me much  :cpopossib:

:hello: little mermaid

this topic is "Charity Team Stats" ;) I could have transferred all our latest discussions into the "Let's goooooo !" topic, but I haven't had time / didn't want to :D
Do you know the proverb "speech is silvern, silence is golden"? Well, I think we'd all prefer silver on this forum

Depends on the situation, doesn't it? There are some where it is quite nice to be out of control :siflotte:

Thank you very much for your largesse, modesti  :D - and I agree very much about the control factor
Yes, I tried "golden" for brief moment  :cavapobienmwa: scary, scary .... I'll never go to Silenceland any more ...

Please let me quote the morning briefing for the Base Campers and others who in spite of sound sense read that *****:
Outpost Trek #3 - I have no idea, which point of view has off topically been conveyed
to the wrong thread in the Charity Race 2012 Forum

... so I don't know if we're gogooooooing anywhere  :miam:

Since I have spoiled any "Ordning muss sein"
- of which I'm very fond myself, right Christopher Herr?
I might as well carry on until I'm gagged, banned and blocked!  :sun:
